#01 Botanical Vase

A medium size Stoneware & Obvara vase printed directly with plant material, this vessel can also function as a planter. Part of my practise as a maker is to work with different techniques and materials, and in the process cross the boundaries that exist between them. The vase is sealed with Elements Earth that protects the delicate botanical prints with a permanent layer. Elements Earth really is the Rolls Royce of food safe nanotech sealers to protect unglazed ceramic surfaces, and leaves a matt low sheen look on the ceramics surface.
