Elements Primer

Elements Primer is a permanent white milky liquid that is used to prime the fired unglazed ceramic surface to prepare it for any one of the Elements sealers. Although the Primer is a milky colour, it does not not alter the colour of the ceramic surface. It prepares the unglazed fired surface much like a primer on a plastered wall does before the paint is applied. It drastically reduces the porosity of the clay and as a result the unglazed fired ceramic surface absorbs less of the expensive liquids without reducing the effect.
It is recommended to use this under all the Elements sealers and varnish.

Inside: Glazed with a food safe matt black glaze.
Outside: Unglazed sealed with Elements Earth, a permanent industrial strength, food safe and antibacterial high tech nano sealer. The unique sealer is truly one of a kind as it penetrates and bonds chemically with the unglazed surface. It can be used with any unglazed technique, and forms a permanent matt low sheen layer on the surface. It renders the piece water repellent, oleophobic, and alkali, acid, alcohol and chemical resistant, and has a a high UV resistance. Most importantly, it makes the piece dishwasher proof up to 300 deg. celsius. Not recommended to be used in an oven or microwave.
